I used to think generosity was only for two types of people: those who already had their act together, and those with a massive bank account.
Pridefully, I believed I was generous by giving more than the tithe. And those gifts would ebb and flow based on the bank account.
The irony is that I didn't learn the secret to true generosity by becoming wealthy or finally getting my budget perfectly polished. I learned it through loss.
When we take the time to define Biblical generosity, everything changes. It moves us away from guilt and toward a life of intentional joy. It transforms our giving resulting in godliness and eternal reward.
Redefining Biblical generosity and discovering our 'why' is the key to a more abundant, purposeful life—and I’m ready for more of that!
