Their impact did not end there.
I read a magazine article in a vacation rental that will forever change my thinking about giving. It was about 3 or 4 women in their 70s who were not letting their age restrict their impact and legacy. If anything, they were just getting started.
They "pooled" their money TOGETHER which they gifted as a scholarship to a college student. The article celebrated the generous impact on the women + the recipient.

We believe in women impacting women through generosity. Because when we give, there's something transformational that happens inside our hearts.
The WE GIVE Collective provides an opportunity for women givers of all ages and seasons, to feel part of something bigger. Of pushing aside the age-old ideas you can't be generous until you have wealth. And collectively learning the impact of generosity.
There is no specific entry-level donation. It's often the small, heart-felt, and sacrificial gifts which mark a community of impactful givers.

THE PROCESS

Donors are asked to make a year commitment. Gifts may be made at one time or multiple times throughout the year to the DAF (Donor Advised Fund).
Each donor may recommend charities which meet the WE GIVE values.
A Grant Review Committee (made up of donors) will research the nominated charities to present to the Collective.
They are responsible for selecting the finalists and present their requests at The WE GIVE Collective meeting. At the event, cast your vote on the final grant recipient(s) or online.
Three gifts are given to recipients in February, June & October.

There is no designated donation suggestion. Impact can happen from any donation.
You choose the amount and make a one-time or multiple donations.
Membership commitments last one year.
Three collective donations are made throughout the year to the most voted-for charity.

Members nominate charities. The Advisory Board reviews them. We learn more about the top charities from a Rep. Give individually through the Foundation (all safe + secure). We vote. The gift is given! And we party!

DAFs are funds held by a foundation. That means 100% of your donation goes to the foundation, which is shared in a safe, secure and private manner.

We use the PCA Foundation for our family's DAF. Their team and service is top notch. And they do not take out fees for smaller DAFs (like this one!).

A receiving organization must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Individuals sadly are not eligible to receive a donation.
