CAll to action

stewardship is a daily mindset of surrender

START HERE.
We need a vision in our HEAD of what to change. Make a HEART decision to desire to change. And habituate the vision into our HANDS.

Early in our marriage we had pivotal conversations about our lifestyle & giving story.  We were intent on giving the tithe and thought we were generous.

Years later, Jonathan pursued a dream to serve clients as a Financial advisor.  And I learned the influence of managing the daily finances & giving decisions as a mom and small business owner.

As we've leaned into pursing wisdom in Biblical generosity, our WHY and motivations behind our lifestyle & giving have changed.  Because our view of stewardship & God have grown so much deeper.

Let's be honest, it's not really sexy living surrendered that your "stuff" is on loan to you.  Your money is not yours.  It's not sexy planning what we can sacrifice to give to Kingdom work.  But as Christians, it's one we need to have.  And learning about generosity & stewardship is the first step in providing an opportunity for you, sister.

it's not sexy

Historically women have been running the home & fueling the daily grind.  Life as a mom -working/homeschool/ intentional parenting - is very time consuming.  Family calendars are full.  And we tend to not have a ton of margin in our schedules for a money overhaul.

lack of time & overwhelm

Let's face it, we are daily hit with tons of messaging:  "do", "buy", "give", or "donate" that.  Overwhelm sets in fast.  Margin is tight.  Consumption is on overload.  Debt is out of control.  We don't give because there isn't a plan of who to give to, or to not buy that.

why women aren't talking

Generous living isn't quantifiable.  But a plan provides a start to this conversation which we should wrestle with over and over in our hearts.

DO: create a spending guide.  this is a family budget guide.

DO: Create a giving statement to guide your generosity.

DO: work with an Advisor.  Turn your giving into a legacy.

This conversation is one all Christians need to hear: especially as couples.
Traditionally men have made the financial decisions.  But often women make an emotional connection to a cause and write the check for the donation.

What if we would tell you there are ways more money can go to your favorite organizations?  Traditional check & cash gifts make up a large portion of non-profit lifelines.  But far too often the government or credit card companies get more than what we want.
