We make extra dinner for a sick friend. Give spare change to the homeless while waiting at the light. Write an extra "large" tip at girl's night out. And add to the Thanksgiving fund in addition to tithing.
Sounds great! And it is. But who cares? Should I care? Does God care?
Generosity can be ambiguous. How do we know if we're generous if we haven't defined what it is? We all think we're generous. But have we defined how God wants us specifically to give?
Defining generosity frees us to live and give without the guilt, experience joy, and grow in godliness as we store up rewards in heaven! Now that's something I want more of in my life!
